Deleting Instagram messages is a simple process, but there are some very important data privacy considerations. If you delete your Instagram messages normally, they won't be removed from the other person's side. To automatically delete your Instagram from both sides, the simplest way is by using the UnSendAll App to mass-unsend your Instagram messages. With UnSendAll you can ensure that they are permanently removed both from your side, and the other person's.

1. Deleting an individual Instagram message does not delete it from the other person's side
2. Deleting an entire Instagram chat does not delete it from the other person's side
3. If you permanently delete messages from your side, you will NEVER be able to delete them from the other person's side.
So remember, NEVER delete an Instagram chat or message you EVER want to delete an Instagram message or chat from both sides.
To delete your Instagram message, go to your Inbox and slide to the left on the chat, then press the trash can. Remember though, doing this will make it so that you can NEVER delete this message from the other person's side.
If you want to remove a message from the other person's side, you can "unsend" the message, do this by holding down on an individual message and pressing "unsend", this will remove it from both sides.
Instagram will not allow you to unsend an entire chat at once, so we created UnSendAll to automatically delete all your messages, from both sides, with one click.
